AIG Retirement Services specializes in retirement savings and investment products and services, including individual variable and fixed annuities, group retirement products, mutual funds, financial planning and investment advisory services and guaranteed investment contracts. AIG Retirement Services has been in the 403(b) market since its inception writing the first K–(b) programs almost 50 years ago.

AIG Retirement Services Operations is an extremely fast–paced and dynamic environment and operates within a strong compliance and regulatory environment. The functions are high impact and include operations and service activities required to support plan sponsors in the administration of retirement plans such as plan implementations, transaction activities, reporting, and customer contact centers.

AIG Retirement Services is seeking a Business Analyst II at our Allen Parkway campus to design and implement a variety of technical solutions. This position provides analytical and technical support to the AIG Retirement Services Operations and other business units on complex issues.

  • Align yourself with cross–functional team members assigned during the duration of projects to ensure timely completion of project deliverables
  • Provide, create, and develop automated solutions to complex manually intensive processes via Microsoft tools such as MS Access, Excel, or SharePoint
  • Evaluate all options available and identify the pros and cons of each option as they relate to system processing, business processing, time, and cost and recommend the best possible solutions and estimates
  • Communicate project status weekly to team, business owners, and executive leadership as appropriate throughout the duration of assigned projects and through post implementation
  • Ability to understand customers' processes and functions to develop key performance indicators (KPI's); monitor data to perform trend analysis through collection/mining
  • Create dashboards in Power BI and Cognos to track progress to aid management decisions
  • Complete ad hoc report requests as received through the use of SQL Navigator or other required mediums
  • Consult clients to ensure requested information will meet their needs and suggest alternatives when appropriate
  • What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Certified–Business Analysis with Project Management experience
  • Strong MS Access skills, with ability to build Relational Database Applications, apply Codd's NF's and use VBA programming with classes
  • Strong MS Excel skills such as, building applications, functions, pivot tables, classes and userforms
  • Experience creating ERDs, using UML and OOP as references for programming and documentation
  • Strong SharePoint skills with experience with form/workflow creation desired
  • Experience using visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Cognos
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills. Ability to analyze large volumes of data while recognizing inconsistencies and/or erroneous information
  • Organized, with the ability to complete multiple tasks under various deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Must be a creative thinker and can conceptualize alternative solutions
  • Ability to communicate information of a complex nature to mid–level management (written and verbal) in easy to understand business language
  • Strong communication skills–oral, written, and presentation.
