Senior Commercial Analyst - Cambridge

Robert Half Cambridge is excited to be working with a fast growth property business based in Huntingdon who are seeking a new Senior Commercial Analyst to join their progressive and diverse team. The successful candidate will work autonomy in areas that change and adapt day to day with the goal of optimizing resources, identifying trends and profitability levers and reporting findings back to stakeholders within the businesses and externally.

Core Responsibilities:

• Building financial and operational models for a variety of businesses in the group
• Modelling profitability optimisation
• Analysis/scenario modelling
• Liaising with Private Equity stakeholders
• Analysis for budget packs
• IT/Project business cases evaluation
• Improving reporting quality
• Pricing - modelling, analysis etc
• Market analysis
• Business insight support
• Create accurate analytical and predictive models
• Create new reports which combine and summarise data from multiple data sources to generate meaningful information and knowledge
• Understand and interpret reports to generate insight regarding the performance of customer operations and share and present this information with a range of business stakeholders
• Automate the extraction of data and the production of reports, and configure the systems used to generate and present management information
• Set-up and maintain processes and infrastructure to deliver information effectively
• Fully document new and existing processes and reports to a high standard

Skills and requirements:

• Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Previous experience of working in a finance, business or commercial analyst role
• Experience of delivering reporting and analysis to private equity investors
• Experience of analysing external markets trends
• Strong experience of improving data quality and efficiently manage extraction and manipulation of data
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and VBA
• Excellent communications skills - confidence in dealing with individuals of various seniority level
• Strong analytical skills

Salary and benefits:

• The Role of Senior Commercial Analyst is paying a salary of up to £50,000 with exceptional benefits.
