Client Details
Our client, a local success story are seeking a MI Analyst on a permanent basis.
Description
As MI Analyst you will be responsible for:
* Work closely with other BI Analysts and the BI Manager to deliver high quality & trusted MI reporting and analysis that inform real improvements and decision making across the business
* Be responsible for the extraction and manipulation of large datasets from several data sources
* Use of Business Intelligence tools, for data exploration, analysis
* Assist with the implementation of commercial analytics strategy to help shape decision-making process
* Identify gaps, needs of the business and assist with creating business intelligence solutions
* Provide timely, accurate and efficient MI reports and analysis to the business
* Produce MI and analysis for regular and ad hoc reporting that drives business KPI's
* Participation in projects and ad-hoc requirements
* Work closely with all areas of the business to understand, document and provide their MI requirements.
* Ad hoc project work to research new market BI software opportunities and report back on findings to the Business Intelligence Manager
* Support projects to improve data structure and implementation of new BI reporting tools
* Recognise opportunities for reporting improvements and proactively drive change forward
Profile
- Previous knowledge of working on data platforms and business intelligence solutions (e.g Cognos/Tableau/Qlikview/Power BI)
- Advanced/Expert Excel skills for large and multiple data set manipulation and reporting with complex formula
- Strong analytical skills and passionate to work with large sets of data
- Statistically astute and highly analytical
