ABOUT THE JOB

A key role within the finance departmental service provision, you will work with senior management and assist the Financial Accounting Specialist to provide an effective and high quality advice on taxation matters, including VAT and Corporation tax. The role will be required to work provide information and returns to HMRC as appropriate, and support any audit requirements.

You will be expected to lead on actions to ensure compliance with all taxation and related statutory requirements, relevant legislation and best practice. In addition, you will lead the training and development of Police Scotland stakeholders to ensure organisation wide understanding and delivery of tax policy and compliance requirements.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a fully qualified Consultative Committee of Accounting Bodies (CCAB) Accountant or equivalent through significant experience in a similar finance environment.

This full time post is permanent and requires Standard Recruitment Vetting.  You will work 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
