You will have a broad high level understanding of the principles, concepts and technologies relating to SQL Server.
Previous working experience of configuring and supporting the following security products;
While not essential a SQL Server related accreditation such as MCSE or MCSA would be beneficial.

Your role
The role will include but not limited to the following:
Management Responsibilities
- SQL Server team shift and holiday rota management
- Manage project resource allocation
- Represent team in project transition meetings
- Operational documentation management
- Manage vendor relationships
- Financial year budgetary planning
- General SQL Server team management
- Team objective setting, and performance management in conjunction with Enterprise Platforms manager
- Mentor, develop and train staff a diverse set of staff including off shore based colleagues
- SQL Server team KPI reporting feeding back into management structure
- Incident Response & Management coordinator
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, work under pressure, adapt to demanding situations and maintain schedules.
- Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
Technical Responsibilities
- Be a focal point for Enterprise Architecture, Application Development and Operations on system inter-operability issues.
- Closely partner with IT Infrastructure organisation to leverage existing tools, processes and licenses.
- SQL Server technologies roadmap development in conjunction with Deloitte Business Security and ITS Architecture team
- Translate the organisation and technical strategy into tactical execution plans with KPI's and monitor results on a regular basis.
- Work with development teams, Release and Change management teams to plan and promote changes to production.
- Perform ongoing capacity management forecasts including timing and budget considerations.
- Lead contact for problem resolution or direction.
- Work with customers and vendors to understand application purpose and setup to help assess optimal options for SQL installations, upgrades and/or moves.
- Ability to collaborate, build and maintain relationships with multiple technical groups.
- Update and promote established database and application administration processes while keeping relevant documentation up to date.
- Manage a large scale SQL Server estate, building business relationships to support working practices while ensuring security standards are met.
