Our client is an international Insurance Group offering a diverse range of services across Life Insurance.With increasing business activities and a solid growth strategy in place, the Group is now seeking a high-calibre Actuary and / or Actuarial Auditor at Associate Director level to join the team in Hong Kong, covering Asia.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Be a senior member of the specialist Actuarial Audit team within Regional Group Internal Audit reporting to the Team Head.
- Perform independent assessment of internal controls and business processes, identify key risks focusing on all actuarial functions in Asia.
- Develop audit plans, lead and execute audit assignments across valuation, product development, product pricing and other actuarial areas.
- Work with the actuarial audit team head on developing annual audit plans and schedules, audit strategies and procedures, reports preparation for audit committee.
- Review audit reports and working papers prepared by the team and facilitate reports issuance.
- Assist the wider group audit teams on integrated audit assignments and complex audits.
- Deputise the Team Head when required and assist in team management, mentoring, coaching, training and performance improvement.
- Contribute to audit advisory and risk management insights to the group and management team and assist in new process and system implementation initiatives.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- An university degree relevant to actuarial science, statistics or mathematics, ideally with FSA, CPA and / or Internal Audit qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in actuarial functions, internal audit or risk management gained from Insurance companies or Actuarial consultancies
- Strong regulatory knowledge of the insurance sector, ideally Life insurance
- Knowledge of capital management, asset & liability management, valuation, economic capital areas would be highly beneficial
- Willingness to travel within Asia
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English
