The purpose of the Responsible Banking Tribe is to provide our customers with suitable products and services, lending to them responsibly, and when we get things wrong we fix it for our customers.

We currently have Product Owner opportunities within the Responsible Banking Tribe focusing on implementation and delivery .

As a Product Owner you will enable and inspire a multi-disciplinary Squad to pursue its deadlines and project objectives by guiding them on 'what' work should be completed by the squad. Your squad members will include; Data Analysts and Journey Experts (Change, Comms & BA’s).

The Product Owner constantly prioritises tasks and the squad’s backlog with the customer at the heart of their decision making. The Product Owner also ensures that the work is strategically aligned to the tribe mission and engages with internal and external stakeholders to align and manage interdependencies.

Success in this role is about pragmatic and innovative problem solving whilst incrementally delivering solutions to the business. Whilst this role is not a people manager, it is a key influencing role , galvanising the squad around a vision and supporting them to successfully deliver customer value at pace, in a well-managed way.

What you bring to the Tribe:
First and foremost this PO role requires someone who doesn’t just have a passion for better customer outcomes, but is driven by continual improvement. You will bring:
  • Expertise in planning for multiple initiatives and prioritising for value
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Strong delivery experience preferably within financial services or risk/compliance management.
  • The passion for growing people selflessly – we’re looking for servant leaders who thrive on empowering and developing others.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management experience. These initiatives have many and varied levels of stakeholder engagement including internal and external regulators. As the PO you will need to be comfortable presenting, showcasing, coaching and negotiating across these levels.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and have an affinity to deliver within the ambiguity.
