Assistant Financial Accountant

Description

This Permanent Assistant Financial Accountant position based in Reading will involve the following responsibilities:

• Proposing and implementing process improvements to significantly simplify processes whilst improving efficiency and controls
  
• Taking ownership of various accounting and reporting processes which deliver financial reports that feed into the wider financial reporting packs
  
• Assisting in the preparation of the year-end financial accounts and related schedules for assigned companies additionally providing support to ensure a clean year-end audit
  
• Preparing monthly reconciliations for a number of balance sheet accounts ensuring that any outstanding items are investigated and cleared as appropriate
  
• Preparing and maintaining accounting and financial reporting process documentation
  

Profile

To be considered for this Assistant Financial Accountant role you must posses the following:

• Studying towards the middle sections of ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• Educated to a degree level or equivalent
• Exposure to the majority of the above tasks
• Experience in assessing multiple business and financial factors to make difficult judgement calls
• Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to liaise with various manager/stakeholders across the business
• Intermediate/advanced excel skills
