PwC Australia's Outsourced Payroll Team assists a wide range of local and international clients with their Australia payroll requirements, from full payroll function outsourcing to helping clients correctly account for employees seconded to Australia from overseas. We have Payroll team members in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

Tax bring this to life by offering clients tailored solutions from helping them meet compliance and risk management obligations, through to strategic tax planning, structuring and transactional advice.

As a Payroll Consultant in our Payroll team your impact will be seen by:
  • Providing clients with an outstanding outsourced payroll service, including payroll processing, checking and delivery of payroll services for a range of local and international clients
  • Working with the team to ensure payroll processing is completed to an agreed timetable, escalating any issues to the client manager and keeping relevant stakeholders informed and proactively tracking and ensuring Workcover, Superannuation and Payroll Tax responsibilities (where applicable) are met
  • Drafting various employment tax registrations and Australian Tax Office correspondence, and liaising with the relevant authorities regarding general procedural matters
  • Coordinating various vendor payments on behalf of our clients including organising general communications with clients (eg technical updates) and assisting with managing funding confirmations and trust reconciliations for client PwC Trust accounts and client billing activities
About you

You have a background in payroll, tax, accounting and finance with exceptional client management skills and an ability to manage changing priorities and multiple deadlines . You have experience in complex environments and are skilled at managing multiple client commitments as well as experience with data analytics tools and process automation, and a keen interest in process improvement. You have a payroll related diploma/certificate, experience with expatriate/shadow payrolls, Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, data analytics tools and process automation, and a keen interest in process improvement
