Description

A 6 month role for an Interim Financial Accountant to work for a Not for Profit organisation based in Leeds. An opportunity to join a good team within an organisation with a good working culture.

This role will support the organisation with year end, and they are looking for someone with a strong technical accountancy background and need someone who is happy to get stuck in and help them get through the year end effectively.

Key areas of delivery will include:

• Contributing to the production of the organisation's annual report and accounts, including liaison with external auditors and assurance of compliance with relevant legislation and accounting standards.
• Control and maintenance of the financial control framework of the organisation, including maintenance of the policies and procedures manual, ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, monitoring of key management controls and liaison with internal audit.
• Contributing to the financial accounting team operations, including the posting of accounting transactions, the production of financial accounting month-end and provision of financial information to key stakeholders.
• Preparation of the quarterly VAT return, reconciliation to VAT nominal accounts and submission to HMRC.

Profile

To be successful as Interim Financial Accountant you will be a fully qualified accountant ( ACA / ACCA / CIPFA or CIMA ) and will have ideally got a strong track record working within technical accounting in regulated environments i.e. financial services.

Job Offer

The salary on offer for this role is c£45,000 depending upon experience and will be worked as a fixed term contract.
