Here's where you come in
To support the growth of AustralianSuper we are seeking an Analyst - Capital Markets who will be responsible for supporting the portfolio management of Securities Lending investments, overseeing the calculation methodology determining the Funds collateral requirements, and support the design, build and implementation of new Balance Sheet Management related investment capabilities.
In this role, you will:
- Identify, assess and arrange new Securities Lending, Repo and Cash collateral investment opportunities via presentation of an investment case to the Manager, Securities Lending
- Oversee and validate external vendor calculation of Standard Initial Margin Model (SIMM) per ISDA methodology
- Assist in the design of new and innovative Securities Lending, Repo and Cash collateral investments
- Coordinate operational support of new investments including preparation of relevant commercial documentation with counterparts and setup of structures required to facilitate trade settlements
- Build and maintain proactive relationships with stakeholders at counterparties and issuers and within the fund
- Actively support and respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders, as required
- Monitor performance of Securities Lending and Cash collateral investments along with mandate and trade compliance
- Support the development of the long-term Balance Sheet Management strategy
- Support the implementation of the new initiatives which seek to improve the Balance Sheet Management function including liaising with teams across the organisation on requirements for changes to processes and system.
You'll need
- 5 years+ experience within Financial Sector, preferably Capital Markets, Treasury and/or Securities Lending
- Experience in documenting and explaining methodologies and outcomes to senior management and external parties at all levels
- Quantitative analysis experience or exposure highly regarded
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
- Ability to identify the need for process improvements and implement where necessary
- High attention to detail, accuracy and completeness
