Tax Accountant

The Taxation Accountant is required to assist with tax and finance compliance, support tax advisory functions, month end activities and ad hoc tax and finance related projects to ensure timely and accurate compliance with regulatory Authorities and the provision of information and advice to internal and external stakeholders. This role is a 12 month fixed term role and will finish in September 2020 Areas of responsibility To assist with the completion of all tax related compliance obligations including income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, customs and stamp duties. To assist with the Tax Effect Accounting requirements for various legal entities. To assist with transfer pricing compliance including preparation of documentation. To assist with month end and finance compliance Undertake ad hoc research in relation to the abovementioned taxes. To assist with day to day questions from the business in relation to the abovementioned taxes, and in particular transfer pricing. To assist with the completion of tax risk and policy frameworks and the implementation of process improvements. To assist with various tasks required as part of tax audits. Preparation of each entitys standalone income tax calculations and tax effect accounting calculations and proofs. Your profile You will have completed a Bachelor of Commerce/Business and have experience in a financial accounting or Tax accountant role and be on the process to complete your CPA or CA. To be successful in this role you should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
