In view of the ever-increasing complexity in the international tax environment, SWIFT is re-enforcing its tax team and is opening a position as tax advisor.

As Tax Advisor, you will support the tax manager in the global tax compliance and the tax projects of SWIFT.

Responsibilities

Tax compliance and reporting:

Support the tax manager with global tax compliance matters, including:
  • Direct and indirect tax computations and tax returns for a defined set of entities;
  • Assist with preparation of current and deferred tax numbers and disclosures for financial statements
  • Support in transfer pricing entries and documentation ensuring transfer pricing arrangements are accurately reflected across the group
  • Support with tax payments, instalment payment calculations
  • Support in preparation of BEPS, CBCR reporting,
  • Perform internal tax audits of accounts and propose adequate measures to ensure correct bookings in tax sensitive accounts
  • Support in local tax audits.


Advisory and support
  • Provide accurate and timely tax advice to the business and support with delivery and implementation of ad-hoc tax advisory projects
  • Monitor and advise on legislation changes
  • Build strong relationships within the business and be an ambassador for the tax department
  • Assist in implementation of new ERP and systems automation
  • Provide tax training to other parts of the business and accounts department (such as accounts receivable and accounts payable).


Qualifications

Education

University Degree in Law or economics with specialisation in tax

.

Experience

At least 3 years of experience in direct tax within a Big4 or similar environment.

  • Besides his/her tax knowledge, the ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to develop the process and technology supporting the collection and calculation of the tax numbers
  • Problem-solver, with high level of enthusiasm and strong commitment to meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues/advisors in diverse locations
  • Team player
