Franco Trading & Distribution
ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities
* Prepares error free monthly accounts (balance sheet, P&L, Cash Flow)
* Prepares management reports, explaining variances
* Prepares an annual Budget
* Prepares Quarterly Forecast
* Manages revolving stock; full count and reconciliation quarterly
* Prepares costings for both imported & locally produced products
* Plans, assigns & reviews staff work
* Manages Receivables Clerk to minimize bad debt while ensuring timely collections
* Manages Payables Clerk to ensure efficient settlement of supplier invoices
* Manages cash flow
* Verifies, allocates, posts & reconciles transactions daily
* Prepares all statutory payments
* Supports month & year end closure
* Prepares Audit packages
* Participates in measures to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
* Prepares monthly payroll
* Ensures accounting controls maintained; propose amendments to policies & procedures to ensure same
Knowledge and Experience:
* Tertiary level Accounting qualification: Level 2 ACCA / CIMA or equivalent
* A minimum of five (5) years' accounting experience
* Knowledge of an Accounting software package
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
