Storage Engineer, Infrastructure as a Service – Storage Services Melbourne Squad

What is your tribe mission?
As a Storage Engineer within our IaaS Domain, your team’s mission is to deliver and support enterprise storage solutions that provide stable and accessible services to meet our customers’ needs.
What will Your Day look like?
As a member of the Storage Services squad, you will be involved in all aspects of managing a large storage, environment, including operational support. This would require you to perform rostered on call support and coordinate and perform after hours change activity, manage and maintain ongoing life cycle. You will also manage storage infrastructure as well as capacities and performance analysis, troubleshoot and take ownership of problems and incidents, while designing and implementing new solutions. Work with vendors and architects to understand their technology roadmaps, identify opportunities to enhance our processes and services, consulting with other infrastructure and application teams. Your in-depth experience will allow you to advice and coach other members of the squad.
What will be in your toolkit?
You will have extensive experience across enterprise storage technologies with a very deep understanding of storage concepts and a high degree of analytical ability to investigate and resolve problems, work well within a team, and have an innovative proactive mindset. Your experience should include working at SME level with storage technologies from Dell\EMC, IBM, NetApp, Pure Storage and Cisco as well as a good understanding of integration with host platforms including Solaris, AIX, Windows, VMWare and Mainframe.
