This role is drive development and implementation of an effective AML Transaction Monitoring regime for the Bank. The successful candidate will have a highly developed understanding of AML Risks, banking products, AML Risk Assessments and monitoring technology and an ability to identify and to resolve issues so that OCBC is able to demonstrate that it complies with applicable regulatory requirements. In particular, the role will require, amongst other things:

  • Assess money laundering/terrorist financing risk within the Bank, and implement mitigants and controls
  • Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
  • Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge.
  • Possess in depth business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge
  • Drafting business requirements for compliance initiatives
  • Prepare and present reports on projects and initiatives
  • Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the Bank
  • Ensure risk frameworks are designed well and operating effectively
  • Act as liaison for GTS stakeholders Partner with the GTS teams, Operations and Technology to ensure the successful execution of GTS projects
  • Coordinate meetings with stakeholders to review project status and potential risks
  • Perform post implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement identified recommendations for future projects.
  • Manage risks to the program by recognizing significant risks in processes and technology, develop solutions and escalate significant issues to management in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:
  • Depth of knowledge of AML and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of banking and bank products.
  • Understanding of AML risks to the bank sufficient to develop typologies to design systems/procedures to mitigate that risk.
  • In depth knowledge of AML Requirements horizon
  • Experience in assessing money laundering/terrorist financing risks in various client segments and recommending mitigants. and controls for existing and new products.
  • Familiarity with current project management disciplines.
Skills:
  • The successful candidate will have:
  • Ability to present information in a concise and effective manner to senior management.
  • Ability to write AML Typologies based on regulatory, best practice developments or policy changes.
  • Highly Proficient MS Office tools.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Qualifications:
  • University Degree.
  • CAMS, ICA or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in AML Compliance, Risk Management or Audit.
  • Expert knowledge of AML Monitoring and best practice requirements.
  • Knowledge of banking systems and products.
  • Ability to present information in a concise and effective manner to senior management.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
Competencies
