Immediately available Assistant Accountant

The client are a gold mining business, based in South West London (Victoria), and they are looking for a an immediately available Assistant Accountant to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis. The role will involve of month end tasks (including bank reconciliations, maintenance of the Fixed Asset register, VAT returns etc) and the candidate must be able to read and speak fluent Russian.

Client Details

The client are a large scale gold mining business, that have their head office based in South West London (Victoria). Their main operations are in Russia, and they are looking for an immediately available Assistant Accountant. The role will be supporting a Chief Accountant with the month end process, and assisting with the management of the purchase and sales ledgers. The candidate must be immediately available, and must be able to speak Russian.

Description

The Immediately available Assistant Accountant will:

* Bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
* Maintaining accruals and prepayment schedules
* Posting journals
* Fixed assets register
* Reviewing credit card expenses in line with company policy
* Process staff expense claims
* Monthly inter-company reconciliations
* Upload trial balances into consolidation package
* Prepare monthly reporting packs
* Daily and Weekly cash reports
* VAT returns
* Support year end audit by preparing audit information and dealing with external
auditors
* Support wider finance team with reporting and projects

Profile

The Immediately available Assistant Accountant will:

• Have experience with the month-end process
• BE ABLE TO SPEAK RUSSIAN
• BE IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE
• Be comfortable on Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
• Have experience doing the Accruals and Prepayments
• Have good communication skills

Job Offer

• Up to £17 per hour
• Up to £35,000 once the role goes perm
