You will become a member of the wider Finance team at Apple. With over 300 employees from a multitude of backgrounds, the Finance department in Cork supports all functions of Apple in EMEIA, including Sales Fulfillment, Logistics, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music, Apple Retail as well as being part of the Global Business Services (GBS) function.

You will join the Record to Report team (R2R), which consists of over 60 employees responsible for areas including Fixed Assets, Treasury Accounting, Intercompany, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Accounting and a team of Statutory & Tax Accountants. This is a key role in a dynamic environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with business requirements.

You will provide support to the R2R teams as well as the wider Global Business Solutions (GBS) function in APAC, China, and AMR. You will also be responsible for regular project and process improvement work.

Key Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP, Excel, Keynote, BPC, Hana, Oracle and GBI an advantage.
  • Knowledge of SOX process in a multinational environment and how controls are operated.
  • Business insight, strong business partnering skills, organisational skills and awareness of the big picture.
  • Identify issues and work towards resolution on a timely basis.
  • Multitasking; flexible in working to tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter who eager to learn, innovative and ambitious.

Description

  • Support month end co-ordination and execution compliance in EMEIA.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX iCAT for close and judgement in EMEIA including tracking key and operations control effectiveness.
  • Perform pre consolidation checks in EMEIA.
  • Point of contact in EMEIA for consolidation processes to US corporate teams.
  • Execute central tasks and perform US GAAP checks to ensure accuracy, follow up with various teams if any issues e.g. Revaluations, Translations, Batch Errors.
  • Participate in the testing process for SOX purposes.
  • Governance and leading of WHT process including; preparation, filing and payment of withholding tax returns in EMEIA.
  • Work with internal & external partners e.g. R2R compliance, P2P, Tax, IS&T, service providers in understanding any withholding tax requirements in various jurisdictions and document and implement process.
  • Ensure all processes are documented and maintained and look for continuous improvement opportunities.
