ACCA LECTURER/Academic Advisor

Requirements: ACCA Member or Affiliate with 2 YEARS Teaching experience to ACCA Papers

Job Requirement: Full Time/Part Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures to students for assigned ACCA Papers
  • Assist students with OBU Mentor process in order to complete their Bachelor Degree
  •  Develop course design and revising of curriculum offered
  • Mock Exams and their Assessment
  • Record achievement of students
  •  Attend planning meetings to ensure cross departmental parity
  • Present at conferences held by ACCA and other bodies when instructed
  • Administration tasks within the department
  • Lecture/seminar planning
  • Perform the role of Academic Advisor and Counselor to the students and parents
  • Promote the CEC and programs through various means at identified platforms
  • Attend meetings when necessary
  • Perform other related duties as needed

Lecturers are expected to:

  • Start classes on time
  • Give good notice of any absence in line with the CEC’s Absence Policy.
  • Keep up to date with developments in their subject area
  • Keep accurate and up to date registers
  • Adhere to general standards of conduct embodied in CEC policies and procedures
  • Be involved in the CEC’s quality assurance arrangements (Induction, Lesson Observation, Appraisal and gathering/analysing feedback from your students with a view to implementing continual improvement to your course on an ongoing/annual basis.)
  • Work on a rage of performance indicators relevant to the service provided, in order to ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Participate in the CEC’s Performance Appraisal system.
  • Make the most efficient and effective use of human, financial and material resources.
  • Participate in the development of a responsive customer centred approach to service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all CEC policies, procedures and regulations and assist in the implementation of decisions of the Corporation
  • To work flexibly and efficiently, to maintain the highest professional standards and to promote and implement the policies of the CEC.
