Our client is a start-up Pharmaceutical Company located in London's West End a short walk from Oxford Circus. They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join. This is a brand new role in their growing accountancy team.
Description
Located in London's West End, our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant with responsibility for the following duties:
- Accounts Payable - Manage the payment process to setup suppliers, import and code invoices, obtain approval, prepare payment runs and reconcile A/P ledger
- Daily banking and monthly bank reconciliations (multi-currency)
- Managing the monthly prepayments and accruals
- Preparation and posting of month-end journals
- Ensure all documentation is managed appropriately in anticipation of annual audit
- Act as point of contact for external audit requests
- Assist with contract management and review
- Help the wider finance team as needed
Profile
The successful candidate:
- Confident with double entry bookkeeping
- IT literate, with intermediate excel skills, and ideally with ERP accounting system experience - they use Business Central (formerly Navision Dynamics)
- Good understanding of accounting processes, procedures and month end deadlines
Job Offer
Salary of £35,000-£40,000
