Financial Accountant

Robert Half Finance & Accountancy are pleased to be supporting our client, an excellent high growth business based in Milton Keynes on the recruitment of a fantastic Financial Accountant position

Role

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

Ownership of the Gross Margin financial accounting including journals, reconciliations and accounts preparation within strict reporting timelines;

Assist and support in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in a timely manner to identify risks to raise with the Group Financial Accountant;

Preparation of the Statutory Accounts;

Liaise with internal and external auditors;

Supporting with the regulatory reporting and funding requirements of the group including planning and management of ECAM, regulatory capital and other funding balances;

Assist with the company rationalisation project to simplify the group including liaising with external advisors, lawyers, accountants, tax and shareholder management;

Assist with the implementation and testing of Microsoft Dynamics AX software implementation;

Assist in the development and improvement of existing reports and processes;

Generate value in the business by finding opportunities to deliver profit, providing support to managers, increasing efficiency & finding cost savings;

Assist in the production of the Value for Money statement;

Assist the Deputy Financial Controller with data collation tasks (e.g. Routine tax compliance data) and help the wider finance team as required including acting as cover for the payroll function;

Complete the Quarterly VAT returns;

Profile

We are a looking for a part qualified/ finalist accountant (ACA or ACCA).

Salary & Benefits

Highly competitive salary of £30,000 to £40,000 plus bonus, health care, pension and additional package
