AUDIT MANAGER

KPMG is seeking suitably qualified high performing professionals to join our Audit department. You will be involved in providing assurance services to our portfolio of international and local clients in the manufacturing and retail, banking, energy, life and general insurance sectors. You will be responsible for the execution of the KPMG audit methodology and leading audit teams. In addition, you will have the opportunity to provide a variety of non-assurance services to our clients.

As an Audit Manager you will be involved in all aspects, ensuring the delivery of audit and assurance engagements from planning through to completion. Your role will include executive level client interaction and involve exposure to multiple clients.
Key Responsibilities
All managers have a portfolio of clients and they are responsible for planning and project managing all aspects of audits including:
* Assist the Partners and Directors in monitoring the effectiveness of Audit services delivered and providing timely and effective feedback
* Provide management over a portfolio of clients and deliver high quality audit and assurance service, including preparing and reviewing audit plans and work.
* Direct, coach and mentor audit staff
* Overseeing and directing the budgeting, planning, co-ordination and control of engagements in accordance with client, statutory, KPMG and business requirements to ensure effective service delivery and maximum recoverability
* Preparing and reviewing reports to senior management and audit committees
* On-site involvement and being the key point of contact for the clients' senior level staff throughout the year
* Keeping up to date with KPMG's product and service offerings, identifying sales opportunities with the aim of generating new business opportunities.
* Participants in the development of ways to meet client needs, contributes to proposal delivery.
* Achieve team and individual budgets and business plan/ performance objectives.
* Manages project financials, including budgets, WIPS, timely billing and collection and variance recognition.
* Maintain the highest technical and professional standard.
* Think strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks.
* Addresses situation before they come crises and develops solutions to avoid recurrence.
* Undertake wider office activities, as required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professionally qualified with a recognised accountancy body, ACCA qualified or equivalent
* Significant practical experience as a Manager in an external audit capacity
* Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and Internal Auditing Standards
* Well-developed leadership, supervisory and coaching skills
* Team player with strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills including leading teams
* Drive and resilience and ability to thrive in a high stress and fast paced environment
* Flexible and willing to travel
* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
* Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to adapt to a multi-cultural experience;
* IT Literacy: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
