Our client in the chemical industry is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team.
Main purpose of the Job
Responsible for the efficient supervision of fixed assets and general ledger reporting as well
as the production of a final trial balance for internal and external statutory reporting purposes.
The successful candidate will engage in the following activities:
- Provide management with accurate and timeous financial reports and information
- Review all monthly reports
- Perform the first review of monthly costs and revenue and investigate/resolve all discrepancies
- and anomalies found
- Upload the final trial balances
- Finalise the annual insurance declarations
- Review the asset capitalization summary for all projects
- Assist in budgeting process
- Review quarterly reports for submission
- Review the VAT returns and submit timeously for payment
- Assist with the year-end audit process
- Prepare the annual Financial Statements and annual tax computation
