Financial Accountant

The Permanent Division of Robert Half - Finance & Accounting are working in partnership with an instantly recognisable and world-renowned business to recruit a Financial Accountant.

They're looking to hire a Financial Accountant whose role is responsible for managing the day to day accounting duties for the business operating within Company policy, targets and guidelines. This role plays a vital part in supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

Financial Accountant / Northamptonshire / £45,000 - £55,000 plus car and bonus

Key responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for ensuring effective management of fixed assets
• Determine and operate effective inventory management
• Support month-end reporting for multiple operating entities
• Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations including inter-company
• Reconciliation of revenues and costs to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Liaising with key stakeholders around the business
• Escalate unresolved or difficult matters (including queries) to the Financial Controller for assistance/support
• Assistance and preparation for year-end reporting including production of working papers
• Undertake all preparation work for audits (internal/external)
• Support and provision journal entries to the general ledger and ensure accuracy and control
• Support all process improvements of the area delivering task inefficiencies and automation

Profile

Due to the demands of the role the Financial Accountant must be a Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA), capable of working in an ever-changing environment, keen to challenge themselves and wanting to sharpen their accounting skillset.

The Financial Accountant will ideally have

• Technical accountancy experience from practice
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Self-motivated
• High attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills

Salary & Benefits

The Financial Accountant will receive a starting salary between £45,000 - £55,000 plus car and bonus along with a strong benefits package.
