Firmwide Cost Team Lead & Senior Officers (JESS)

Come work shoulder to shoulder as a Team Lead/Senior Officer with top performers in our Firmwide Cost (FWC) group at KPMG Jamaica Extended Support Services Limited (JESS). JESS seeks to identify a Team Lead and five (5) Firmwide Cost Senior Officers, who will be responsible for supporting the Process Controller or Accounting Operations teams based in KPMG US.
As a Team Lead/Senior Officer you will:
* Assists the FWC Manager in cultivating productive relationships within the FWC teams, with primary focus on supporting the specific FWC team they are assigned
* Encourages and supports the identification of continuous improvement initiatives such as automation and procedural enhancements
* Responsible for moderate to complex activities associated with analysis and reporting
* Applies knowledge, independent judgment and Client's policies to complete moderate to complex accounting or finance related job responsibilities and assignments. Performs work of a technical or analytical nature, requiring special skills, training and related experience.
* Analyzes and addresses issues by evaluating different alternatives within a wide variety of established procedures; decisions are subject to review by higher levels of management both with the Client and JESS
* Prepares special moderate to complex reports and analysis
* Oversees effort to meet deadlines while maintaining quality
* Prepare journal entries to be posted to the general ledger
* Reviews and approves journal entries prepared by team members
* Maintain adequate support for posted journal entries
* Performs quality assurance review of other team members' delivery and ensures it meets Client's expectations and deadlines
* Mentors and provides technical direction and training to their FWC team
What we are looking for:
Team Lead
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university or professional accreditation such as ACCA or CPA.
* Minimum of three (3) years of progressive accounting experience,
* Minimum of two (2) years managing others
* Proven ability to guide and train staff regarding accounting processes and procedures.
* Advanced knowledge of Accounting.
Senior Officer
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university or professional accreditation such as ACCA or CPA.
* Minimum of three (3) of accounting experience.
* Advanced knowledge of Accounting.
