The opportunity to join as an Accounts Receivable Assistant in a role offering great flexibility and gain exposure in a varied role. This role will involve training however does need someone with a good grounding with the ability to assist across varying sectors of the company.

My client is a reputable company that is well established within the local Building and Construction market. They are a national business and work with a range of well known and recognisable brand. They are a dynamic and forward thinking business that have strong growth and development plans in place. Ideally they are looking to bring on board driven and ambitious individuals on a Temp to Perm basis. Based in Dunstable, they are an easy commute for anyone located in Bedford, Milton Keynes, Luton or the surrounding area.

Description

Accounts Receivable Assistant duties and responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts receivable
  • Completing supplier and bank reconciliations
  • Processing journals
  • Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
  • Managing company ledgers
  • Assisting with VAT returns
  • Assisting Credit Control procedures
  • Processing expenses
  • Resolving queries as required
  • Assisting the AR Manager on an ad-hoc basis






Profile

Desired experience and skill set for this Accounts Receivable Assistant role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Desire to build a career in the financial sector and study (AAT or ACCA/CIMA)
  • Immediately Available or on a similarly short notice period
  • Capable of working using own initiative to anticipate and resolve invoicing issues
  • Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
  • Locally based to Dunstable with your own transport
  • Strong Excel skills to include pivot tables and VLookups
  • Flexible team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a busy environment to strict deadlines
