Description

As a a Senior Accounts Assistant based from the Farnham, Surrey office you will be responsible for:

Purchase Ledger

  • Checking purchase invoice content, coding and posting to ledger
  • Acquiring authorisation of invoices from department managers
  • Reconciling supplier statements and obtaining copy invoices
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Preparation and processing of monthly supplier BACS payments
  • Processing company credit card transactions and personal expense claims
  • Sales Ledger

  • Raising sales orders within Sage 200
  • Converting sales orders to sales invoices
  • Raising manual invoices in excel and batch imputing to Sage 200
  • Reconciliation of posted invoices to the sales log
  • Journal postings for internal sales
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Liaising with the Credit Controller
  • Management Accounting

  • Monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet nominal accounts
  • Review and management of all profit and loss accounts
  • Prepayments and accruals
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register. Calculate monthly depreciation and post journals
  • Produce first draft Management Accounts pack for review
  • Bank and Petty Cash

  • Posting bank receipts and payments to Sage 200
  • Recording the receipt of customer cheques
  • Posting petty cash receipts and payments
  • Reconciliation of Sage 200 to bank statement
  • Intercompany reconciliation and recharges

  • Raising monthly intercompany recharge invoices and reconciliation of the intercompany account balance
  • ( VAT)

  • Review transactions for quarterly GST return
  • Produce 1st draft GST return for review and submission
  • Profile

    • Experience covering the above responsibilities as closely as possible. However you don't have to have covered all of the responsibilities.
    • Strong Excel Skills are EssentialHighly numerateHighly organisedStrong time management skills

    Job Offer

    Salary £24k - £28k depending on experience with salary reviews. Study Support if needed but you dont need to be studying. 20 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays, Nest Auto-enrolment pension, free parking

    Hours of works are 8 per day, 9am to 5.30pm with 30 minute lunch or 8.30am to 5.00pm with 30 minutes lunch if preferred.
