Financial Accountant

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to build on their career and have an immediate impact for this growing telecommunications business based in Huntingdon. Working closely with the Financial Controller the Financial Accountant will have responsibility over the VAT and Fixed Asset Register alongside producing detailed analysis and reports to help drive business decisions.

Description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

• Formalise monthly/quarterly process and reporting of balance sheet reviews
• Responsibility over the VAT processes
• Review existing controls and processes, recommending improvements and implementing accordingly
• Support interim audit & year end processes
• Formalising process around monthly reconciliations
• Assisting internal stakeholders with strong financial support
• Producing detailed statutory reports and analysis
• Develop & maintain a risk register
• Ownership of the Fixed Asset register
• Provide support on ad hoc queries & projects

The successful candidate for the Financial Accountant will be:

• Commercially astute and a dynamic, strategic thinker
• First-rate analytical skills, with the ability to present findings to people across departments
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
• Part-qualified accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Strong Excel ability and broad systems exposure
