This position requires someone with solid US international tax experience who understands US global tax provisions and US SEC tax reporting requirements. The US and international tax laws have changed drastically in the last couple of years with respect to GILTI, income bucketing, Foreign Tax Credits, BEPS, and US tax compliance Forms 5471 and 1118. You should be familiar with the current US HQ international tax requirements.

You will support tax audits and special projects including M&A, tax incentives, and R&D credits. You will also lead or support documentation of intercompany transactions and transfer pricing including Master & Local Files, Country-by-Country reporting, related intercompany and legal agreements for the worldwide organization.

  • Recognize complex technical tax issues, perform research and analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Assist with developing global tax strategy.
  • Assist in preparing the US GAAP worldwide quarterly tax provisions under US GAAP ASC 740
  • Oversee preparation of worldwide transfer pricing documentation.
  • Document uncertain tax positions to support the US GAAP financial statements
  • Work with FP&A to model current and long-term forecasts by legal entity
  • Evaluate and model potential intercompany transaction changes
  • Recommend tax efficient structuring ideas that align with business objectives.
  • Analyze complex tax issues and formulate recommendations regarding major cross-border transactions, intra-company services, cash management, M&A and other business needs
  • Work closely with treasury and finance teams, external tax advisors and internal leaders
  • Assist with the global tax provision and disclosures, including uncertain tax positions
  • Oversee the creation of efficient systems and strategies, leveraging SAP and tax provision software.
  • Manage processes and documentation to comply with SOX 404 controls.
  • Manage tax controversies audit strategy.
  • Advise organization with respect to tax impacts of contemplated transactions, agreements and structures.
  • Assist with US international tax compliance, specifically Forms 5471, 5472, 8992, 8993 and 1118


Requirements:

You should have good US international tax experience and US or global tax leadership within a US based HQ company.

  • CPA License or Chartered Accountant is preferred.
  • 12+ years’ international tax and transfer pricing experience in a large global accounting firm or a publicly traded corporation.
  • Solid understanding of US global tax provisions and US SEC tax reporting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge in international tax and transfer pricing, familiar with U.S. international tax issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing tax strategy and leading restructuring projects.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complicated tax matters to non-tax and tax professionals in simple terms.
  • Knowledge of and experience with US GAAP and SEC financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated tax research, analysis and documentation experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic organization.
  • Driven, tenacious and hands-on.
