POSITION SUMMARY: TheSenior Financial Analyst partners with the Operations Leaders and team membersto provide sound and strategic guidance in the production of products, preparesperiodic reports and analyses, presents monthly results to Finance Teams aswell as operations management.EXCELLENT BENEFITSMorcon Tissue is an equal opportunity employer that offers a competitive compensation and benefits package for employees, including:Medical, Dental, Vision CoverageLife InsuranceShort Term Disability401k MatchPaid HolidaysVacation TimeTuition ReimbursementRESPONSIBILITIES:Analyze and report production costs at standard and actual and provide explanations as products move through the supply chainAnalyze, report and present production variances including price variance, material variance and labor/burden spend and volume variancePartner with Operations to develop quarterly forecasts, the Annual Operating Plan and three–year Annual Strategic Review which include labor, overhead and materials costDevelop item level standard costs in SageUnderstand product cost components to determine product cost for go to market strategies.Assist operations in finding cost effective solutionsKey member of the operations teams to provide strong business strategy supportMember of manufacturing finance team, collaborating to provide appropriate business support, learning and sharing of best practices, striving for process improvementsEnsure compliance with internal control standards and SOX requirements and participate with auditsAd hoc reporting and analysisResponsible for planning and assisting in the execution of Manufacturing KPI's routines/rituals, improving the business's performance on safety, quality, delivery, and costFocus on improvement plan(s) implementation that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve conformance to plan, reduce conversion costs and to improve efficiencyCoordinate Daily / Weekly / Monthly calls and reporting – collect actuals for Manufacturing KPI's.Support with Overtime analysis and action plansCoach business team members in the practical application of KPI's analysis and plans executionOwnership for simplification of KPI's reportingSupport management in the development, planning and execution of plansAssist in monthly close activities and physical inventories as requiredPerform monthly account reconciliationsDevelop and align with VP of Operations / finance KPI's targetsPrepare materials for operations (functional) reviewShare best practices for manufacturing performance improvementDevelop training materials and provide training sessionsCommunicate with leaders, Plant Managers, Operations Leaders to coordinate projects and initiatives.Record and maintain accurate record of measurable statistics including, but not limited to, budget (spending, operations, research); number of employees supervised – directly and indirectly; sales volume; cost of purchases; value of inventories controlled; goods produced.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Accurately estimate time and effort required to plan for activities with organizational skillsFocus on achieving results and setting challenging goalsProcess–oriented – experience in, or working with process mapping and process analysisKnowledge in all aspects of analysis, design, planning, testing, documentation and production implementationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExamine information to identify key elements to effectively solve problemsEngage with team members and other members of the organization to achieve goalsTeam player; cross functional orientationHandling multiple projects with tight deadlines
