The opportunity


We are looking for a Manager or Senior Manager within the Infrastructure Advisory team in our Perth office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis.

The Infrastructure Advisory team has a proven track record of advising on the structuring and procurement of Western Australia's most critical infrastructure projects. We advise both public and private sector organisations that require support in developing and managing large scale infrastructure projects across a range of sectors. We also advise on the long-term operation of assets and contracts.

We are seeking a high performing experienced professional to join our Perth practice in a leadership capacity. This is a great opportunity where you can play a key role with our clients, sharing your knowledge and providing valued insights to enhance business relationships. This position is expected to support business development opportunities.

Our advice covers the full spectrum of considerations over the entire infrastructure lifecycle so oversight and understanding of infrastructure projects in this context is essential. This includes financial and economic analysis and development of business cases through to involvement in complex procurement and project transaction phases.

Your key responsibilities
  • Advise and support clients seeking to invest in their infrastructure portfolio
  • Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis with major infrastructure clients in public and private sectors to bring clarity to complex problems and facilitate the development of solutions
  • Provide commercial advice on procurement strategies and delivery models as part of early stage feasibility studies or business cases
  • Detailed procurement options analysis
  • Procurement planning and documentation for tender processes
  • Support and manage tender evaluation and negotiations
  • Contribute to tender and contract documentation
  • Presenting analysis and conclusions in written and presentation formats
Skills and attributes for success
  • Positive, proactive and collaborative approach to working with major infrastructure client organisations
  • Relevant experience in infrastructure consulting, planning or delivery
  • Ability to undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis to support decision-making and clearly communicate written analysis in well-structured, evidence based reports tailored to a variety of audiences
  • An appreciation of feasibility assessments and / or business cases for infrastructure projects
  • A relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Engineering, Commerce, Law, Finance or Economics
Ideally, you will also have
  • Good commercial and/or legal acumen with Industry relationships
  • Excellent knowledge of the fundamental principles and processes related to infrastructure procurement and contracts including delivery strategy, procurement planning, tendering, negotiation and contract award
  • Excellent understanding of risk management in the context of major infrastructure project delivery and/or asset management
  • Demonstrated experience of end-to-end infrastructure procurement processes or functions including contract management, supply chain management and systems
