Job Title:Senior Financial Analyst
Reports to:Director of Finance
Department:Operations Leadership
Position Objectives:This position is a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team of the West Business Unit. Analysis and consultation are performed to inform business decisions and help leaders select the best course(s) of action.
Key responsibilities include:Developing actionable storylines and insights through monthly financial analysis and through close collaborations with Operations leadersAssisting in the preparation of operating budgets and providing forecast updates to paint a clear picture of ongoing business operationsDeveloping and helping facilitate regulatory filings: including rate cases and annual reportsWorking closely with Operations leaders to develop and maintain the business unit's Capital Expenditure Plan
Skills Required are:Ability to analyze and systemize financial and operational resultsAbility to build and maintain relationships with both internal stakeholders and state regulatorsUnderstanding of accounting principles and proceduresEffective communication with different groups and through different mediumsAbility to think critically and develop arguments that support your positionWillingness to be a "Devil's Advocate" with senior leaders
Salary Range:Starting salary range for this position is from $68,000 to $85,000

Education:Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.Preferred: MBA
Certifications/Licenses:Preferred: CPA
Experience:Required: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Travel:Required: Minimal Travel is required
