We support core projects in the commercial industry for hospitality, multi–family apartments, dormitories and assisted living markets.We have installed almost 30,000 pods since 2005 and growing our client portfolio and we need an experienced, highly motivated, innovative Senior Accountant/Project Accountant Position Location: Orlando FL Industry preferences: Commercial construction/manufacturing engineering. Working with a team of 3+ and project managers business partners
SUMMARYThis is a blended role encompassing project and general accounting, contracts administration, payroll processing and reporting.
Contract Admin/ProjectsMaintain all project–related records, executed contracts, bids, change orders, bonds, lien waivers, certificates of insurance, etc..Coordinate with the sales team to on preconstruction contracts, prequalify customersUpdate and maintain customer and project modulesProperly collect and track all compliance items for vendors and subcontractors, including insurance requirements, lien releases, W9 Information, and all properly signed documentsProcess contractor's payment applications for monthly billing based on a schedule of values, including percent of completion, retainage percent or amount and verify that it contains a valid conditional waiver and release document (AIA, Textura)Review and update project status, modify budget/forecast with Project ManagersReview project costs and codingMaintain project information in Procore and Dynamics 365
General LedgerAssist with daily and monthly accounting processes and reconciliationsWIP analysis and reconciliation by projectReconciliation of treasury activitiesJournal entries, month–end accrualsAssist in preparation of financial reporting packageOther tasks as assigned
PayrollKnowledge of ADP Workforce nowReview time and attendance inputs, validate hours, PTO, etcTransmission of biweekly payroll
OtherOther duties as assigned.
Essential & Desired Skills/Experience:A strong work ethic and a "can–do anything" attitude.Five plus years' project accounting experience.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related fieldStrong knowledge of general construction, accounting, auditing, payroll and invoicing required.Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.A thorough understanding of accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Office is strongly preferred. Must be able to organize and support multiple projects at the same time.
