The Finance & Planning team is tasked with providing financial analysis to facilitate effective decision making, managing the planning and forecasting work that guide the business, and serving as the key liaison between the business and corporate financial functions. In pursuit of these goals, the team must interact and collaborate regularly with a diverse set of stakeholders across the organization. The team strives to be a sought–after business partner within the company and is heavily focused on people development. The Senior Financial Analyst is a leadership role with direct oversight and responsibility for the finance and planning function in the Arkansas Oklahoma Region, which encompasses nearly 1,350,000 acres. As Senior Analyst, part of your duties will include limited analytical support to the Director of Finance and Planning and some oversight of the Junior Analyst who supports the Arkansas Oklahoma Region. The role reports to the Mid–South Finance & Planning Manager, with a dotted line to the Arkansas Oklahoma Region Manager in Operations. This role has the flexibility to be in either Hot Spring, AR or DeQueen, AR, with some day and overnight travel required for meetings and training. The Senior Financial Analyst has joint accountability with regional leadership for the financial performance of the region and is expected to develop a strong partnership with the Region Manager. Key Functions: Leadership of regional budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes; maintenance of planning information in the company's ERP system. Analysis of monthly financial results, including detailed variance review; works closely with the regional lead team to ensure efficient execution on commitments. Provide regular communication on progress towards budget and develop plans to course correct when necessary. Provision of ad hoc financial analysis to regional leadership as needed, including but not limited to scenario modeling, capital budgeting, and financial due diligence. Provide analytical support to one of several south–wide functional teams on a rotating basis. Ensure budgeting and accounting treatment within the region are aligned with corporate direction. Oversight of compliance to internal controls and act as a point of contact for Internal Audit for the region. Given the dynamic nature of the team, the Senior Financial Analyst may be asked, on occasion, to provide "flow to work" support across the South.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance or related discipline. A minimum of 5 + years of finance or related business experience OR a combination of experience with a Master's degree. Strong financial, analytical and technical skills, Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and organize tasks to create efficient workflow.
