A reputable and highly successful firm of chartered accountants, based in Bideford. The firm has a superb reputation and is undergoing sustained growth and positive developments. The firm acts wide ranging clients and some their major clients include manufacturers, leisure companies and holiday companies across the North region and further afield with experienced staff delivering on the audit side in the corporate teams on these. Alongside this they are have a very wide range and large client base of smaller companies, across very varied industries and turnovers, across limited company OMBs and SMEs, sole traders and partnerships. The team is headed by partners with a wider teams and range of AAT trainees, ACA/ACCA studiers and qualified professional support.

Description

Joining as a qualified Senior Accountant, you will take responsibility for the provision of varied, general accountancy practice services to a wide ranging client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, OMBs, SMEs, wide ranging in size and turnover. The firm has a very wide ranging client industry range and size, from small entrepreneurial start ups and sole traders, through to large corporates, with clients over the audit threshold in turnover. The portfolio will be moulded to fit around the right individuals strengths and preferences, so this could be made up of entirely managing the provision of accounts/tax and other services to clients under the audit threshold in turnover. Or, should the right person ideally bring auditing skills, there will be a element of audit and corporate clients over the audit threshold in turnover/ charity clients etc. You have a hands on role, along with managing the provision of audit, accounts, tax and added value services, across business planning, management reporting and other services to your clients. You will also work closely with partners in the firm, taking on increasing responsibility, client contact and delivering project work. The partners will be looking for the right individual, who can demonstrate the skills and genuine desire to progress in the firm as a clear route is on offer for career focused professionals

Profile

You will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with a high level of experience across any mix of accounts, tax, audit etc gained within an accountancy practice environment. You may be recently qualified, or with 1-2 years or more post qualified experience and be operating at Senior Accountant levels, Supervisor or Assistant Manager . You may have a background in small, medium or large, independent accounting firm environment, or larger Top 50 / Top Tier firm background, looking to join a successful firm where you can add more value to directors of OMBs and SMEs, working on added value advisory projects and widening your experience, following qualification.

Job Offer

£28,000 - £33,000 + dependent on the level, background and experience of the right professional. Plus benefits.
