What you can expect
As Leveraged Finance Analyst you will work in the Frankfurt LBO team on the origination, execution and portfolio management of financial sponsor driven LBO financings in Germany, Austria and CEE in cooperation with the London LBO team. This includes a wide variety of related tasks, like e.g. risk analysis and rating of acquisition targets, financial modeling and structuring, preparation of credit papers and client presentations.

What you can expect
As Leveraged Finance Analyst you will work in the Frankfurt LBO team on the origination, execution and portfolio management of financial sponsor driven LBO financings in Germany, Austria and CEE in cooperation with the London LBO team. This includes a wide variety of related tasks, like e.g. risk analysis and rating of acquisition targets, financial modeling and structuring, preparation of credit papers and client presentations.
As a Leveraged Finance Analyst your missions will be:
- Preparation of financial models in analyzing the debt capacity of specific targets based on senior and junior debt instruments (incl. HY)
- Credit analysis, including writing pre-screening memos and credit papers for leveraged finance transactions
- Preparation of financing pitches for financial sponsors
- Interaction with a number of departments incl. risk, syndication and high yield capital markets
- Review of portfolio transactions and related waivers in co-operation with the local middle office team
- Co-operation with other teams like M&A or sector teams for joint client pitches
- Day-to-day deal execution, portfolio and administrative tasks
- Following SG policies, rules and standards
- Working closely with the LBO team in London and/or Paris
Your Profile
Experience and Technical Skills:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration
- Relevant experience - e.g. Leveraged Finance or Corporate Finance with a leading bank, an advisory franchise or M&A
- Very strong technical and analytical skills
- Excellent command and superior user knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in both German and English (written and orally)

- Well organized with attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality output
- Able to work under pressure and under tight deadlines
