Group Financial Controller
Up to £75,000 + Benefits + Bonus
London
A leading Global Professional Services Company is seeking a Group Financial Controller to oversee the operation of the global finance function, comprising teams across the UK, Europe, and worldwide. The successful hire will also business partner with key decision-makers to drive forward financial objectives.
It is essential that the day-to-day operations are executed flawlessly, affording the finance function the credibility and authority to shape the agenda and direction of the business. Processes are ever-evolving; it is essential that the Group FC is curious, open-minded, and able to effect change whilst keeping multiple stakeholders aligned. Given the ever-evolving nature of finance, the company is undergoing an exciting period of development. The Group FC needs to be a catalyst to accelerate that change and will be key in setting and achieving the financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities include:
Reporting
· Preparation and review of quality and insightful monthly consolidated group management accounts, overseeing work of the teams in London and Europe
· Review of team and office level P&Ls
· Board reporting, including commentary, variance analysis, KPIs, trend analysis
Controlling
· Design and maintenance of appropriate financial controls to ensure compliance with the Group delegations of authority framework and budget
· Cash flow forecasting at entity and group level
· Working capital management and balance sheet maintenance, including overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable teams globally
· Managing global banking relationships as first point of contact
· Review payroll and bonus calculations and management of third-party outsourced providers
Compliance & Statutory
· Responsible for all Group and subsidiary audits
· Preparation of Group consolidation
· Responsible for international transfer pricing
· Responsible for corporation tax filings in UK and Europe (working with external advisors)
· Oversee preparation of quarterly VAT/GST returns and filing globally
· Oversee payroll filing compliance of third-party outsourced payroll providers and internally, including UK PSA settlement
Commercial
· Supporting the CFO in annual budget and annual reforecast process
· Business partner with senior business leaders to deliver business financial objectives
· Design and preparation of commercial analysis to support business strategic objectives
· Management and oversight of all compensation and incentive schemes, including scheme design
· Supporting CFO on strategic projects, including overseas expansion, financing and new product development
The successful hire will meet the following requirements:
· Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ ACA/ CA/ CIMA)
· Extensive team management experience
· Group consolidation experience
· Multi-currency/ multi-jurisdiction exposure
· System integration and business transformation experience (desirable)
· External finance experience (desirable)
