Part-Time Assistant Management Accountant - Temp to Perm Opportunity - Central Bristol
Your new company
My public sector client has been established for 3 years, continually expanding and due to the increase of workload are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team of 3. They are based in Temple Quay a stones throw from Temp Meads and pride themselves on their positive culture and working environment. This position will be part-time - 22.2 hours which is equivalent to 3 days and is initially temporary for 3 months to go permanent.
Your new role
You will be playing a key role helping to provide financial advice, information, reports and analysis and maintain systems and processes. You will be supporting the Management Accountant to ensure that financial reports to both internal and external users accurately, helping to establish reporting routines including month end reporting, statutory reporting, budgets and commentaries and support the provision of effective and efficient financial information through proactive business partnering and providing financial modelling assistance when required. You will receive on the job training in certain aspects which are specialist to this role/industry.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, it is essential that you are either qualified or part-qualified actively studying at the final level (CCAB/ACCA/CIMA etc), have experience of providing financial support in a dynamic and complex organisation, previous experience of preparing budgets and budget monitoring and experience of providing regular financial management information/advice to tight deadlines. It is also vital that you have experience of delivering high-quality customer service both inside and outside an organisation, have excellent numeracy skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy and are proactive with the ability to use initiative and work autonomously without close supervision.
