Clients include financial institutions, public and private pension plans, insurance companies, endowments and foundations, sovereign wealth funds and high net worth investors.Location: ChicagoThe Position: Analyst, FinanceResponsibilitiesWork with the Assistant Vice Presidents of Finance and Accounting to prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes for US, CA and UK domiciled entitiesFamiliarity with budgeting and forecasting processesAssist the team in preparing audit schedules and support for annual auditEnhance existing processes based on the needs of the businessReview:Accounts Payable transactions to ensure correct codingTravel and Entertainment expense reports to ensure compliance with policyReview and enter bank account activity, as necessaryWork on special projects for the Director and Vice President of Finance and Accounting as assignedQualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or other Business discipline1–3 years of professional accounting work, with Public Accounting experience preferredMinor or some professional experience in management information systems with an interest in leveraging information technology to achieve business objectivesFinancial background, ideally with a background in the financial services industryWorking knowledge of Sage Intacct and/or Certify expense reporting software programs beneficialExposure or working knowledge of Host Analytics financial planning and analysis tool beneficialAbility to make linkages between tasks and the broader function and organizationStrong attention to detail skillsAptitude and desire to assist the Vice President of Finance and Accounting with efficiency and technological initiatives, specifically budgeting and forecastingStrong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to deal effectively at all levels within the organizationSelf–starter with a strong work ethic and positive attitudeAble to establish priorities, meet deadlines and work in fast–paced environmentAbility to work with team members disbursed between Chicago and New YorkTravelUp to 10%
