Our client is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their Accountancy team in Aldershot on an interim to permanent basis.

• Ensure the posting and processing of receipts and payments

• Ensure cheques and BACS payments are prepared for signature.

• Produce PIR report.

• Assist with recurring payments (as required)

• Prepare direct debits (collection) including loading of budgets onto the computer system.

• Assist with raising adhoc charges as required

• Raise surplus/deficits as required.

• Assist the Credit Controller with the recording of incoming cash receipts, includes standing orders & bank transfers.

• Carry out the daily the bank reconciliations

• Assist with the preparation of the weekly, daily and Monthly balance sheet reconciliations as required by the Finance Manager

• Updating any KPI's essential to the department's performance.

• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts information, as required.

• Assisting the Chief Finance Officer, Financial Controller, Chief Executive and Board in all ways reasonably required to improve the Association's financial performance and achieve its objectives.

• Assist with the filing, updating and archiving of financial documents to ensure that complete records are available for reference at all times.

• Provide excellent short term cover for the Ledger clerk and Credit Controller in times of absence.

Profile

A successful candidate will have experience with above & be available on short notice.

Job Offer

Salary £23,000 - £28,000

35 Hour Wokring Week

27 Days Holiday + Bank
