This is an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant to be based in Medway - Kent - Accounting and Finance - Commerce and Industry
Client Details
A successful SME who are continuing to expand.
Description
Produce sales invoices for the client on the date products are dispatched. I ensure all prepaid duty is reimbursed within 7 days of issue
Ensure all overseas invoices are accurately converted to UK £Sterling and calculate and report on all landed costs on a monthly basis.
Ensure all invoices received are paid via BACS within agreed payment schedules and check and reconcile with supplier statements and bank statements/accounts.
Manage all supplier queries regarding invoices and payment.
Process and reimburse all internal expenses accounts, chase receipts when necessary and escalate any irregularities/concerns to the Head of Finance immediately they become apparent
Responsible for monitoring that the company trades correctly
Undertake KPI reporting according to department needs.
Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts to trial balance stage.
Take ownership for costs, calculating accruals and prepayments.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigating any irregularities and escalating to the Head of Finance
Assist the Head of Finance with all month and Year End duties.
Assist in the preparation and forecasting for budgets on a weekly/ monthly basis
Prepare quarterly VAT returns for sign off by the Head of Finance
Support the Head of Finance with the submission of working capital and cash flow forecasting models to support the monthly submission requirements.
Support the Head of Finance in the production of trend analysis reports regarding sales revenue, pricing, gross margin, profitability across our customer portfolio.
Support the Head of Finance with the analysis and reporting of cost controls and make recommendations on where suitable cost savings can be identified.
Profile
Able to build effective relationships between the Accounts department and the wider business
CIMA / ACCA Part Qualified
Excellent organisational skills
Good attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Sage 50Excel (Pivot Tables/Vlook Ups)Competent in the use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
