Chartered Accountant

Our client in the telecommunications industry in Midrand currently have an opportunity available for a Chartered Accountant with IFRS15 experience to join their team on a contract until March 2018.

The ideal person must be able to support the local IFRS15 Project Team to address system acceptance testing and month end reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct IFRS15 User Acceptance Testing(UAT)
- Conduct IFRS15 Month End reconciliations
- Conduct GL account reconciliations for IFRS 15
- Perform analysis work on differences between IAS 18 and IFRS 15
- Assisting in the process to ensure that IFRS 15 revenue amounts are reporting in the correct GL accounts

Requirements:

- Knowledge and experience of Telecommunications financial and commercial practices, and good IFRS accounting knowledge
- Must have worked in Telecommunications industry or performed audit work in Telecommunications industry
- Have 3+ years audit experience
- Good knowledge of revenue recognition requirements (IFRS or US GAAP) and their practical application

Education:

- The candidate can be newly qualified with only articles work experience - provided that the candidate has strong financial IFRS accounting experience
