This role is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate, CIMA/ACCA studier to join a progressive £100m turnover manufacturing business based in Deeside, Flintshire. You will act as a 'fresh set of eyes' to the manufacturing process building reports on material costings across the business.

They are facing an exciting period of growth, as such are seeking a Graduate Cost Accountant to join their accountancy team in a new stand alone position.

Description

They key responsibilities of the Graduate Cost Accountant will:

  • Assist in the financial accountants with reporting on production costs and forecasts
  • Prepare of the periodic working capital report including variance and trend analysis

  • Prepare and review of monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations associated with manufacturing plants and distribution centres

  • Work closely with departmental heads to continually develop and monitor their KPI's

  • Review periodic costs statements in relation to material costings and the wider product costs

  • Communicate with department heads and plant managers over headcount, materials and production costs including reports and analysis of deviations from budget

Profile

The successful Graduate Cost Accountant will:

  • Have experience with reporting on stock and manufacturing costs
  • Be highly analytical and possess a high attention to detail
  • Have a high concern for accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent ability within Excel & strong ERP knowledge
  • Strong communication skills including the production of reports to management and director level
  • CIMA/ACCA Studier - Essential
  • Suitable skills within ERP systems
  • Knowledge of the development logic of a multi-year Business Plans (Income Statement / Cash Flow)
  • Strong work ethic and flexible approach to work
