The main purpose of the role is to produce the financial accounts for the Company and its subsidiaries, and its parent company, and to manage the finance team. The Financial Controller is to ensure that all of the financial accounting and management reporting is accurate and is prepared on a timely basis.
Client Details
The company is a well known publishing house based in London which publishes around 2000 titles annually in 35 different imprints. They turnover approximately $800m annually and have beautiful offices in London's West-End.
Description
- Management of nine employees covering all aspects of financial accounts; cashier, accounts payable, costing, stock control, sales ledger, distributed publishers, royalty management and management accounts
Preparation of Statutory Accounts, Reconciliation to management accounts
Communication and liaison with external auditors and management of the audit process and supplementary schedules
Ownership of the balance sheet and review of all balance sheet reconciliations including inter company settlement
Preparation of annual tax computations and monthly VAT returns
- Preparation, management and review of annual budget and Bi-annual full year forecast of business results for review by management
Profile
- ACA Audit trained
- Subsequent role in industry
- Experience of media or creative industry essential
- Strong technical accounting skills
- UKGAAP
