Our client is looking for a Part-Qualified Financial Accountant to join their Accountancy team at their office in Redhill on a 6 month fixed term contract.

Description

Main Duties:

• Manage and coordinate the month end close process

• Responsible for the integrity of numerous balance sheet accounts and reconciliations.

• Coordinate and complete the quarterly reporting finance schedules for group reporting.

• Assist in internal and external audits.

• Working effectively with and interacting with numerous staff across all departments

• Responsible for the timely reconciliation, preparation and submission of the UK VAT return and associated statutory reports

• Responsible for the timely reconciliation, preparation, submission, recovery and payment of foreign VAT returns

• Provide analysis and answers to finance related queries to a high standard and the management of large amounts of data.

• Deputise for the Finance Manager as required.

• Manage and support the finance administrators in a hands-on manner in bank reconciliation duties, employee expenses, corporate credit cards

Profile

Successful Candidate

• Strong QBE or part ACCA/CIMA qualified.

• Advanced Excel user essential

• Able to work and act with initiative in a frequently changing work environment.

• Able to present information clearly, concisely & professionally; informally and to larger audiences.

• Self-motivated and dedicated

• Diligent, enthusiastic and driven

• Knowledge and experience of working with domestic and international VAT.

• Previous staff management experience desirable.
