Provation is looking for a strong Sr. Financial Analyst that will need to possess strong business acumen and be a respected business partner for the organization. The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for providing insights and solutions to areas requiring analysis of business and financial activities. The individual in this role participates in annual planning , monthly forecasting, and the monthly close process and ensures financially sound business plans. This includes building collaborative relationships with internal customers and ensuring accurate financial forecasts and monthly variance explanations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models for decision supportAnalyze financial results; monitor variances; identify trends; recommend actions to managementDevelop automated reporting/forecasting toolsDevelop complex financial modelsPresent analytics to support the sales team and sales strategyAssist with the development and maintenance of complex pricing modelsPrepare and review financial variances between Actual/Budget/Forecast financial resultsProvide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendationsDrive planning, analysis, coordination and consolidation of corporate budget/forecastPerform strategic and scenario analysis to determine present and future financial performance, develop and refine key business metrics and drives robust analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities, while evaluating possible alternatives and recommending appropriate actionsBuild analytical models that utilize both financial and non–financial data to forecast operating resultsPrepare business cases or ROI analysis to guide the evaluation of strategic initiativesMergers & Acquisition activityPrepare dashboards of KPI's and other critical business metricsProduce product P&L's
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Bachelors Degree in accounting, finance, statistics, economics or related fieldMasters of Business Administration (MBA)Five (5) – Seven (7) years of experienceMust have strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) and problem–solving skillsExperience in financial modeling, business analysis, Financial Planning & Analysis (F,P&A), business integration, data mining, and analyticsSelf–starter with the ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and growStrong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and modelsExpert Microsoft Excel skills required; familiarity with data query/data management tools extremely helpfulKnowledge of NetSuite, Salesforce and related technologiesMust possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be comfortable interacting with executive–level managementStrong financial modeling experienceWillingness to work long hours, when necessaryExperience with SaaS software preferredCPA / CFA preferredHealthcare software experience a plusExperience with a Private Equity portfolio company a plus
