Job Summary: Process financial data for use in maintaining accounting records and the preparation of financial reporting to management, affiliates and regulatory agencies.
Essential Job Functions: Prepare and reconcile statutory financials and trial balances for multiple companies. Completion of annual and quarterly statutory financial statements and submission to regulatory authorities. These tasks keep our companies in good standing with regulators so we can continue to conduct our business. 45% Preparation and submission of state filings to all 50 states and Puerto Rico in order to maintain our active status and licenses. 20%Assist Statutory Reporting Manager with analysis of statutory results for internal and external reporting to insure completeness and accuracy of reporting results. Assist with completion of Risk Based Capital Report to meet statutory regulator requirements. Assist with completion of investment income and asset allocations for internal reporting on Statutory, IFRS, and Solvency II reporting bases. Assist with analysis and reporting explanations to states of domicile in order to insure our companies remain in good standing with regulators. Assist senior with supporting our big four auditors regarding timely completion of their audits. 15%Prepare and load journal entries. Reconcile related accounts in order to insure accurate and complete accounting of our business. 10%Collaborate with company affiliates in order to complete intercompany reporting. Tasks include coordinating with affiliates accounting personnel and providing confirmations. 5%Other responsibilities as assigned including supporting other accounting reporting bases in order to complete our financials on time. 5%

Essential knowledge, skills and abilities:Degree in Accounting or BusinessMinimum 7 years related experience and/or training in financial reporting, or equivalent combination of education and experience Prior insurance industry experience Life & health reinsurance accounting experience in Statutory, IFRS, and Solvency II, preferred. Advanced experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Strong organizational and administrative skillsAvailability and flexibility in meeting reporting deadlinesStrong attention to detail
