Summary:
Under the direction of the CFO supervises the administration of the Finance department consistent with Finger Lakes Community Health policies and procedures. The Controller will manage the day to day operations of the accounting department, including maintaining accounting systems, financial reporting, and staff supervision. This position will also be responsible for oversight of processing of company payroll.
Main Responsibilities:
Directly oversees all aspects of the accounting function of Finger Lakes Community Health Manages accuracy and productivity of accounts payables/receivables and purchase order system Assists, along with CFO, allocation, and management of grant funding Oversees day to day financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, audits, and cash flow management Oversees biweekly processing of company payroll Provides analysis of budgets and financial trends Works with company leadership to determine long term financial objectives and strategic planning
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required Graduate degree in related field, or CPA, strongly preferred 5–7 years of experience in accounting/finance, or equivalent education and experience required Non–profit experience preferred Excellent customer service and problem solving skills Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with personnel, patients, and community partners Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
