My client is a Telecommunications brand located in South East London. They are looking to add an Accounts Assistant into their team that has the ambition to progress quickly into an Assistant Accountant role.

Description

Accounts Assistant/Assistant Accountant
Roles and duties:

• Analyse all incoming supplier invoices
• Correctly coding invoices
• Bring any discrepancies to the attention of the Finance Manager
• Raise queries with suppliers
• Emailing Remittances to suppliers for the two payment runs each month
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Credit control - Chase all customers for payment of invoices and ensure Debt Collection targets are met
• Update cash flow forecast on a daily basis
• Bank Reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of management accounts on a monthly basis and other financial reports
• Check all staff expenses, query any discrepancies and post correct expenses
• Filing - ensure the filing systems are kept up to date and all filing is completed accurately and in a timely manner
• Cover for the Purchasing Executive role when needed, full training will be provided. Be able to negotiate prices with suppliers and order inventory
• Hardware reconciliations
• Billing - assist our billing department with the bill run and resolving customer billing queries

Profile

The successful candidate:

• Immediately available
• Good working knowledge of Sage accounting
• Previously worked in a similar role

Job Offer

The successful candidate will be paid £11-15 per hour.
