About the roleHeavyConnect's controller owns all aspects of HeavyConnect's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, financial reporting, and analysis. The controller works closely with company leadership to develop strategy, implement financial policies and procedures, and report operational progress (KPIs & OKRs)Responsibilities
Performs month–end close processes including preparing detailed account analysis, journal entries, necessary reports for validating general ledger balances, data verification for accurate costing of departmental activities, and verification of control checksAdministers reconciliation of banks, AR, AP, credit cards, commissions liability, and all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basisMaintains depreciation and amortization schedulesCreates annual budgets and develop, prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial data & forecasts for board reports to the executive teamOversees maintenance of quarterly & annual taxesAdministers the annual audit, including journal entries, delivery of data, and implementing changes resulting from audit findingsManages company payroll and benefits
RequirementsEducation: BA / BS degree in financial accounting or equivalent experience in a related industryMinimum 3–7 years of related experienceCommitment to excellence and high standardsStrong organizational, problem–solving, and analytical skillsAbility to analyze statistical and financial dataAbility to manage priorities and workflowsVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmAbility to work independently and as a member of various teamsStrong organizational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesClear sense of integrity, work ethic and a sincere interest in building strong relationships founded in competency and or other CRM experience is a plus Present professionally with exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
